Production Manager
Job Description:
This role will lead manufacturing operations to achieve safety, quality, productivity, and cost goals while fostering team development and driving continuous improvement across all production processes.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily manufacturing processes to meet or exceed safety, quality, productivity, cost, and team performance targets.
- Use Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure performance and drive process improvements.
- Apply the Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) model to analyze root causes and implement lasting solutions when goals are not met.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives to increase throughput, eliminate waste, and improve scheduling and efficiency. - Supervise, coach, and develop manufacturing team members to ensure consistent performance and engagement.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and quality requirements, including GMPs, SOPs, OSHA, and FDA standards.
- Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and employee involvement across all operations.
- Oversee material availability, product quality, and on-time delivery through effective resource allocation.
- Facilitate daily and weekly operational reviews to ensure alignment with short- and long-term production goals.
- Support new product launches in collaboration with business and production teams.
- Lead workforce planning and training programs to build flexibility and ensure succession readiness.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
MUST HAVES:
- Minimum 5 years of supervisory or management experience in a manufacturing environment in food, beverage, biotech, or pharmaceutical
- Proven success implementing Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Working knowledge of Daily Management Systems, Lean principles, GMPs, SOPs, OSHA, and FDA regulations preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to motivate teams and foster a positive, high-performance culture.
